Pauline Banowetz PRESTON, Iowa -- Mass of Christian Burial
for Pauline Caroline Banowetz, Sugar Creek, rural Preston, will be 10:30
a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sugar Creek. Burial will be
in the Church Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at
Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston, where a parish scripture service
will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.
She died Monday, May 20, 2002, at her home. She was a homemaker
and farmer with her husband on the family farm. Pauline Caroline Teshak
was born Sept. 21, 1906, in Sugar Creek. She married Joe Banowetz in
1927 in Maquoketa. He died in 1990.
Survivors include daughters, Evelyn Costello, Charlotte and Rita
Banowetz; sons, Robert Banowetz, Charlotte and Virl Banowetz, Maquoketa;
nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosella Eckelberg,
Muscatine and Irene Rose, Maquoketa; and her special friend, Charles
