John Bigham
John E. Bigham, 48, of Aledo, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at
Mercer County Hospital, Aledo.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo.
Burial is in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at the
funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Online condolences

He was born Sept. 26, 1957, in Mercer County, Ill., a son of Richard and
Eleanor Schmidt Bigham. He attended Aledo schools. He married Patricia
Ramsdell Jan. 30, 1981.
John began his career in the floor-covering business working for his
father at the R.D. Bigham Floor Covering Co., Aledo. He continued
working for the company as an installer for more than 30 years.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Aledo. He enjoyed golfing in
the Thursday evening golf league at Oak View Country Club, Aledo, and
bowling in the Tuesday night bowling league at Millennium Lanes. He
loved to fish and hunt, and his proudest moments were when his two sons,
Richard and Breck, won Illinois state football championships.
Survivors include his sons, Richard Bigham, Aurora, Ill., and Breck
Bigham, Aledo; three sisters and spouses, Joan and Mike Anderson, Little
York, Julie and Bob Harrison and Jayne and Don Fitzsimmons, all of
Aledo; three brothers and spouses, Jeff and Kathy Bigham, Jerry and Gina
Bigham and Jim and Susie Bigham, all of Aledo; several nieces, nephews,
aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece.
