Carl T. Boak
Carl T. Boak, age 88, died on December 5, 2006. Born July 26, 1918 in
Fowler, MI, the son of William and Lula (Waters) Boak. He was a member
of St. John’s Lutheran Church, was a World War II Army veteran and a
member of the V.F.W. Post #4113 and the American Legion Post #153. He
retired from Sealed Power after 27 1/2 years of service. Carl married
Alma Nobis in Fowler on November 24, 1945 and she survives him.
Also surviving are children, Jeanette (Larry) Barbour and Richard
(Cheri) Boak, all of St. Johns, Allen (Carol) Boak of Lansing and Robert
(Linda) Boak of Harrison, eight grandchildren, twelve great
grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Gladys Boak of Tucson, AZ and Mary C.
Boak of Grand Ledge, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by daughter, Eileen Monasmith, his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2006 at
the St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor George Brinley and Pastor
Paul Clark officiating, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will
receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Osgood Funeral Home.
Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Hazel I. Findlay
Country Manor or St. John’s Lutheran Church. Military graveside
services provided by St. Johns Honor Guard.
