Aged Mrs. Ann Bohan Expires at Seaton

  Mrs. Ann Bohan, in her 87th year, died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Payne, at Seaton. The funeral was held at 10 o'clock this morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keithsburg, Rev. Father Monaghan officiating, and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery at Keithsburg.
  Born in Ireland in 1837, when 20 years old, Mrs. Bohan came to Keithsburg, where she married Peter Bohan, March 18, 1867. He died 17 years ago, and three of seven children also preceded her in death. They lived on a farm near Seaton until her husband's death, then in Keithsburg and four years ago Mrs. Bohan returned to Seaton to live with her daughter.
  Surviving are one son, Miles Bohan, Monmouth; three daughters, Mrs. Payne, Mrs. Margaret Moseley of Aledo and Mrs. Mary Logan of Roundup, Montana.

Death of Mrs. Ann Bohan

  Mrs. Ann Bohan died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Payne of Seaton, Tuesday night after an illness dating back several years.
  Ann O'Malley was born in Galway County, Ireland, June 10, 1836, came to America in 1857, lived in New York until the spring of 1857, when she came to Keithsburg, where she resided until her marriage to Peter Bohan March 19, 1867, when they moved to the old home in Belmont. Her husband died May 1, 1906. She remained at the old home until the death of her son John, September 14, 1914, and since then she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ella Payne.
  To this union were born seven children, four sons and three daughters, the husband and three sons preceding her in death. She leaves to mourn her going three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Logan of Roundup, Mont.; Mrs. Ella Payne of Seaton, Mrs. Leslie Moseley of Aledo and one son, Miles Bohan of Monmouth, twenty-two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
  Mrs. Bohan was a true Christian, her life's work was for her children; to raise them to love God and serve him, love their neighbors and be useful citizens. She was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic church and was always a regular attendant until the past four years when she had been confined to her bed. She bore her sickness with patience and always had a pleasant word for her many friends that came to see her.
  The funeral was held from St. Mary's Catholic church Thursday morning with Rev. Father D. F. Monaghan saying the Requiem Mass and delivering a beautiful eulogy on the life of the deceased. She was buried in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery beside her love ones.
  Those attending the funeral from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Bohan of Alexis; Mrs. Kate MacLamara of Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Frederick and Mrs. Richey of Abingdon, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Frederick of Galesburg, Christ Frederick of North Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. James McCarthy of Muscatine, Iowa; Mrs. Barnes and son of Preemption, Mrs. Bridget Conley of Arcola, Mr. and Mrs. George Hogue and children of Keosauqua, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Moseley and family of Aledo, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Bohan and family of Monmouth and Edd McFadden of Muscatine, Iowa.
