Lake View-Forrest J. Boom, 77, of Lake View died Saturday
evening, Jan. 13, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Farber and Otteman
Funeral Home in Lake View. Rev. Thomas Zoelzer will officiate. Burial
will be in Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View.
Friends may call at the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View.
Mr. Boom was born Nov. 15, 1901 in Plymouth County, the son of
Bert A. and Margaret (Maxwell) Boom. He married Hilda Beckman Feb. 27,
1924 at Sac City. She died in 1957. Mr. Boom was a retired foreman for
Stock Popcorn Processing Plant at Lake View.
Survivors include four sons, Virgil of Dixon, Calif., Duane and
Robert of Lake View and Darrell of San Bernadino, Calif.: two daughters,
Mrs. Leo (Marjorie) Ludwig of Elba, Minn. and Mrs. Dwight (LaVon) Miller
of Dana Point, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four
sisters, Mrs. Alice Lee and Mrs. Clarence Bihrer of Sac City; Mrs.
Gaylord Boyd of Lytton and Mrs. Clarence Kotas of Lawrence, Kan.; one
brother, Robert of Odebolt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five sisters
and two brothers.
