Teresa "Tessie" Boyles
Teresa B. "Tessie'' Boyles, 88, of Reynolds died Monday, Jan.
15, 2001, at Mercer County Hospital Extended Care Unit, Aledo. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church,
Aledo. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Preemption Township.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Family Funeral
Services, Aledo, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
Teresa Bridget O'Connor was born Feb. 23, 1912, in Ennis, County
Claire, Ireland, one of nine children of Timothy and Johanna Meaney
O'Connor. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy in Davenport.
Teresa married Francis W. Boyles Jan. 9, 1937, in Aledo. He
preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1998.
Teresa was a homemaker and retired after 12 years of service as a
nurse's aide at Mercer County Hospital. She was a member of St.
Anthony's Altar and Rosary Society. She like gardening, loved golfing,
and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Teresa is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and
Augie Martel, Silvis, Patricia and Vern Fuller, Aledo, and Frances and
Daniel Curran, Davenport; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Services were Thursday, Jan. 18, 10 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic
Church in Aledo with the Fr. G.J. Plunkett officiating. The organist was
Sheila Herman. The vocalists were Judy Baker and Margie Martel.
Pallbearers were Leonard Williams, Tom Conway, Lawrence Boyles, Daniel
Fuller, Michael Fuller, Ted Martel, and Greg Martel. The honorary
pallbearer was James Fuller. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Preemption Township.
Visitation was Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m.,
at the Family Funeral Services in Aledo.
