Daniel Brennan
Aledo-Daniel Brennan, 82, Preemption township farmer, died at 9
o'clock yesterday morning in a tri-city hospital following an extended
illness. Mr. Brennan was born April 11, 1861, in Preemption township,
youngest child of the late Patrick and Sarah Conway Brennan.
He married Miss Ellen Hayes of Edgington March 17, 1898. To the
union were born five children, Miss Mary, at home; Daniel J., in the
armed service on duty overseas; John P. of Cambridge and Miss Ella
Edwards of Chicago. Miss Grace E. Brennan died eight years ago. Mrs
Brennan died four years ago, and also was preceded in death by a
brother, John and a sister, Mrs. M. C. Horan. He is survived by four
grandchildren.
He spent his entire life in Preemption township, farming as long
as his health permitted. He was of Catholic faith.
The body will be brought to the home west of Preemption this
evening and the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock. Funeral services
will be in St. Joseph's church, Preemption, at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow
morning, the Rev. John T. Shields officiating. Burial will be in St.
Joseph's cemetery…
