Caroline Burns, 93, of Monmouth, died Wednesday, April 10,
2002, at Community Medical Center, Monmouth.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel,
Monmouth. Burial is in Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
She was born April 17, 1908, in Monmouth, to John and Carrie
Isaacs Scott. She married Dell Burns in 1932. He died in 1991.
The couple farmed in the Little York, North Henderson, Alexis and
Gerlaw areas, retiring in 1981.
Survivors (and spouses) are a son, Edward (Sarah) Burns,
Monmouth; daughters, Ruth (Paul) Fredrickson, Little York, Dorothy
(Lynn) Long, Monmouth, and Iliene (Brent) Ogilvie, Gerlaw; 14
grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and nine
great-great-grandchildren.
