Albert Cahalan
Albert Cahalan, 342 Rockford road SW, long-time Cedar Rapids
resident and retired Quaker Oats employee, died Tuesday. Born May 26,
1889 at Clermont, Mr. Cahalan was a World war I veteran and a member of
Co. D's Last Man club, the VFW and St. Patrick's church.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; two sons: Albert, of Des Moines,
and John, of Owego, N. Y.; four daughters: Mrs. Patricia Risdal, Mrs.
Gordon Strickland, Mrs. Albert Stourac, Mrs. Kenneth Millsap; a sister,
Mrs. Marian Shea, all of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers: Bernard, of
Marion, and Richard, of Detroit.
Services: 9:30 Friday at St. Patrick's church by the Rev. J.
Robert McDonald. Burial: Mr. Calvary. Rosaries: 8 Thursday by Father
McDonald, WCOOF and Daughters of Isabella, and 8:30 by Knights of
Columbus at the Teahen chapel, where friends may call after 2 Thursday.
