Hannah Cashman
Mrs. Hannah Cashman passed from this life at the home of her
daughter Mrs. W. H. O'Brien, near Lenox, last Thursday morning, February
28th, 1918, at the age of 83 years. The funeral services were held at
the St. Patrick's Catholic church in Corning Monday morning at 10
o'clock, conducted by Rev. Father Dollard and the body was laid to rest
in Calvary cemetery.
Hannah McCarthy was born in Boston, 83 years ago, on the 14th of
October. She was married in Milwaukee, Wis., to Thomas Cashman, at the
age of about 18 years. Mr. and Mrs. Cashman were for years residents of
this locality, their farm being on the line of Adams and Taylor
counties. The husband and father passed away about 21 years ago last
September. Mrs. Cashman had made many friends during her residence of
nearly forty years in this vicinity and all regret her passing away and
extend deep sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Mr. Cashman is survived
by five daughters and two sons, beside other relatives and a large
circle of friends. The children are Mrs. Jas. McGuire, of Spring Valley,
Ill.; Mrs. Neil Sullivan, of Gravity; Mrs. E. E. Sullivan, of Alberta,
Canada; Mrs. W. H. O'Brien, of Lenox; James Cashman, of Creston; Joseph
Cashman, of Omaha, and Mrs. Hugh Colgan, of Corning.
