| Olive Church
Olive S. Church, 89, of Friendship Manor Home, Rock Island,
formerly of Aledo, died Monday evening Sept. 14, 1987 at Moline Lutheran Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fippinger Funeral
Home, Aledo. Rev. James Carbaugh of the College Avenue Presbyterian
Church will officiate and burial will be in the Aledo Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family
requests donations be made to the church, of which she was a member.
The former Olive Shaw was born Mar. 29, 1898 in Alexis a daughter
of George H. and Mae A. Likely Shaw. She attended Warren County Schools
and the Monmouth High School.
She married Beard Church on Oct. 5, 1941 in Aledo. He died in 1960.
She was a fifty year member of the Aledo Chapter 126, Order of
Eastern Star.
Survivors include a sister, Cele Whan of Rock Island; and three nephews.
