Mary Cofer
Funeral services for Mary Agnes "May" Cofer, 88, of
rural Seaton, were held Wednesday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Center
Presbyterian Church, Seaton, under direction of the Reiser-Trimble
Funeral Home, Aledo.
The Rev. Gary A. Garretson, pastor, officiated. Burial was in
Aledo Cemetery. Memorials were made to the Center Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Cofer died Sunday, Dec. 26, at the Mercer County Hospital.
The former Mary Agnes Craig was born July 1, 1894, in Monmouth,
daughter of James and Margaret Grier Craig. She was married to Samuel
Clarence Cofer Sept. 21, 1921, in Seaton. He died Feb. 21, 1974.
Prior to her marriage, she worked at the Seaton Post Office and
State Bank of Seaton.
She was a life member of the Seaton Presbyterian Church and a
member of the Women's Association of the Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Garland of Monmouth, and
Mrs. Sadie Boock of Little York; two brothers, James Craig of New Boston
and Howard Craig of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one
sister, and one brother.
