Catherine Conway, 80, of Aledo died Saturday, Oct. 12, 1991 at
Aledo Health Care Center.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine Catholic
Church, Aledo, with Rev. Ken Przybyla and Rev. James DeBisschop
officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Preemption Township,
Mercer County, IL.
Memorials may be made to the church or to a favorite charity and
left at Jinks Funeral Home, Aledo.
She was born Aug. 12, 1911 in Vail, Iowa, a daughter of Patrick
J. and Margaret Lally Walsh. She graduated from St. Anne's High School
and Mount Saint Clare College in Clinton, Iowa. She married Vincent D.
Conway on Aug. 18, 1936 in Vail, Iowa.
She was a teacher in Iowa before she was married.
She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, Aledo.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Patrick J. Conway Sr. of
Downer's Grove, IL; a grandson, Patrick J. Conway Jr.; two sisters,
Margaret Wessel and Madeline Walsh, both of Rock Island; and a nephew
William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Pallbearers were Jim and Tom Conway, Norman MacDonald, Tom
Hofmann, Steve Doyle and Francis Boyles.
