Aledo -- Mrs. Martin W. Conway, 80, died at her home at 108
North Chestnut street, Aledo, at 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon,
following a long illness.
Mrs. Conway the former Miss Margaret Meehan, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John Meehan, was born Sept. 18, 1867, in Milan. She moved with her
parents to Denison, Iowa, when she was a child.
She was married on Nov. 25, 1908 to Martin Conway and the family
home was south of Reynolds for a few years. For the last 30 years, she
had been a resident of Aledo. She was of Catholic faith and was a member
of St. Catherine's alter and rosary society.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning at
St. Catherine's church, Aledo, with the Rev. C. M. Meyer officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, Preemption. The body was
returned from Sloan funeral home, Monmouth, to the family home this
afternoon. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight.
