Mary Cathleen "Cathie" Conway
GALVA, IL - Cathie Conway, 65, of Galva, died at 12:42 PM, Saturday,
July 25, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Cathie was born September 5, 1943 in Springfield, IL, the
daughter of William D. and Gwendolyn C. (Smith) Sheahan. She married
Patrick J. Conway Sr. on October 30, 1971 in Chicago. He preceded her in
death on January 31, 2009.
Survivors include her son, Patrick J. (Melissa) Conway Jr. of
Springfield, IL and her grandpuppie, Sparky.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She was a homemaker and in her early years had worked in the
insurance business in Chicago. She was of the Methodist faith. She
enjoyed volunteering in Bishop Hill for various activities and events.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 28 at
Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Ann Champion will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral
home. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, IL. Memorials may be
directed to the Henry County Humane Society or to the family for a
memorial to be established.
