Myrtle Craig
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Craig, 99, of Galesburg,
formerly of North Henderson, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the
Hoover Memorial Chapel, Alexis. The Rev. Bruce Baker, pastor of the
North Henderson United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in
Alexis Cemetery.
Memorials were made to the North Henderson United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Craig died Thursday Morning, Jan. 26 at St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg.
The former Myrtle Fickle was born April 7, 1884, in Payola, Kan.,
a daughter of Nelson and Ellen Roberts Fickle.
On Sept. 12, 1900, she married Franklin Craig at Pickering, Miss.
They resided in Missouri before coming to North Henderson, where he died in 1963.
She was of the United Methodist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Maier of Cincinnati and
Mrs. Opal Clark of Galesburg, a son, Frank of Minneapolis, six
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and four
great-great-grandchildren.
