Emily Jane Curry Dies
Mrs. Emily Jane Curry, 60, died Saturday at 12:20 a. m. at the
family residence, 611 South Ninth street, in Council Bluffs. Death was
due to a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs. Curry was born in Ohio. She moved to Massena, Iowa, when six
years of age and lived in that vicinity until seven years ago, when she
moved to Council Bluffs.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 8 o'clock at St.
Francis Xavier's church. Requiem high mass was celebrated by Msgr. F. P.
McManus. The body was taken overland to Reno, Iowa, for burial in Holy
Sepulcher cemetery.
Mrs. Curry is survived by her husband, John L. Curry; 3 sons,
Joseph N. Curry of Massena, Roy V. Curry of El Paso, Tex., and Lewis
John Curry of Massena; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Nelson of Council
Bluffs, Mrs. Agnes M. Stemler of Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Lucille M.
Brewer of Neola; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rongresch of Grena, Neb.; six
brothers, James, Peter and Lawrence Cullen of Massena, Mark and Morgan
Cullen of Cumberland, Iowa, and Michael Cullen of Council Bluffs.
