Mrs. Emma L. Curry

  Emma Colgan Curry, daughter of James and Mary Ann Colgan, was born in Hoopeston, Illinois, September 5, 1888, and passed away September 6, 1972, at Colonial Manor, Corning, Iowa, at the age of 84 years and one day.
  She was united in marriage to John P. Curry, January 20, 1915. To this union 7 children were born.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Rowena Hickey; three brothers, Charles, William and Arthur Colgan; two sisters, Margaret Hill, and Cecelia Colgan; and one sister-in-law.
  She is survived by her sons, Francis, Earl, and William of San Diego, California, Raymond of Omaha, Nebraska: John of Corning; and one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Celestine) Martin of Commerce City, Colo.; two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, two brothers, James Colgan of Olympia, Washington and Raymond Colgan of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters-in-law; 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
  Rosary was said by Father Lloyd Connolly, in the Roland Funeral Home at 8 p.m. on Sept. 8 and funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Church on Sept. 9 at 9:30 a.m. with Father Connolly in charge of the services.
  Pallbearers were Edward Colgan, Francis Mack, Art Marlatt, Eugene Mullin, John Jones and Edward Talty.
