John Curry
Funeral services for John Curry, Sr., 75, were held Monday, at
9 a.m. from St. Patrick Catholic church her, conducted by Rev. Father
Weiss. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Mr. Curry died Friday, June 9, in Derby, Colo.

John P. Curry
John P. Curry, a resident of Corning, Ia., died June 9, 1961
at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Urban of
Derby, Colo. John was born November 30, 1885 in Adams county to Frank
and Mary Curry. He died at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 9 days.
He was united in marriage to Emma Colgan on January 20, 1915.
John is survived by his wife; seven children, Francis, Earl and Billy
all of San Diego, Calif., Raymond of Omaha, Nebr., John Jr. of Corning;
Mrs. Bob Urban of Derby, Colo.; two brothers, Earl of Pasadena, Calif.,
and Leo of Corning; three sisters, Mrs. Austin Houck of Oregon, Mrs. Jim
Casey of Griswold, Mrs. Louis Mack of Corning; and fourteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one
sister, Mrs. Mae Quinn.
A requiem High Mass was held Monday, June 12 at 9 a.m. at St.
Patrick Catholic church in Corning with Rev. Father Weiss officiating.
Pallbearers were John Hickey, Robert Mack, Joe Casey, Jack Cruise, Leo
Quinn and Ed Colgan. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
