Raymond V. Curry
Raymond Vincent Curry of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away at St.
Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. December 10, 1974. The son of John
P. and Emma Colgan Curry, he was born Feb. 23, 1924.
He was united in marriage April 12. 1948 to Evaline Karstensen,
who survives him. He resided in Corning until 1956 and formerly operated
a business in Corning. He has lived in Omaha for the past 18 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four brothers, Francis, Earl,
William, all of San Diego, Ca., John of Corning, and a sister, Mrs. Herb
(Celestine) Martin of Commerce City, Colorado; three uncles, James
Colgan of Olympia. Wash., Raymond Colgan, Omaha, Ne., and Earl Curry of
Costa Mesa, Ca.; and aunt, Mrs. Jim Casey of Griswold and 15 nieces and nephews.
His parents and a sister, Mrs. Vincent (Rowena) Hickey preceded
him in death.
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick Church in Corning,
Iowa, December 14 at 10 a.m., with Fr. Lloyd Connolly officiating.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ted Russell, Junior Richie. Bob Mack, Donald
Hogan, Leo Quinn and Joe Casey.
