Benjamin David
Benjamin D. David, 91, of Aledo died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at
"the farm."
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church,
Matherville. Burial is in St. John's Cemetery, Viola. Visitation is 9:30
a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. A memorial fund
will be established. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola, is handling arrangements.
He was born March 18, 1913, on the farm in Preemption Township,
Ill., the son of Thomas and Mary Dooley David.
Mr. David retired from John Deere Plow Planter in Moline after 32 years.
He was a member of Matherville Eagles Lodge and St. Anthony
Catholic Church, Matherville. He enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing pool
and was an outdoorsman.
Survivors include his sister, Alice Miller, Aledo; and numerous
nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews including his favorite
niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ella Redpath.
