Jon H. Druckmiller, 69, of Taylor Ridge, died Monday, Dec. 24,
2007, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, with a visitation
from 9:30 a.m. to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory,
6601 38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural
Taylor Ridge. Memorials may be made to Pathways Support for Autism
Research, 5411 Highway 50, Delavan, WI 53115.
Jon was born Nov. 26, 1938, in Rock Island, to Howard and Vida
Hill Druckmiller. He married Floretta Bonnen on Sept. 20, 1958, at Zion
Lutheran Church in Taylor Ridge.
Jon and his brother owned and operated Druckmiller Bros. Gypsum
Supply Co. in Andalusia. He worked as a painter and dry walling
contractor for Painter's Local Union No. 502, Rock Island, retiring in 2001.
Jon was a lifelong member of Painter's Local Union No. 502, Rock
Island. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Floretta; sons, Chris (Sue)
Druckmiller, Lake in the Hills, Ill., Mark Druckmiller (Jeannenne
Marhevko), Saline, Mich., Shaun (Kerri) Druckmiller, Oak Park, Ill.;
grandchildren, Hannah, Jon, Alexa, Adam, Aaron and Emma; brother, Harlan
(Nancy) Druckmiller, Taylor Ridge; sister, Marilyn (Lloyd) Titterington,
Taylor Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents.
