Mrs. Theodore Eischeid Sr.
Halbur - Mrs. Theodore Eischeid Sr., 80, of Halbur died Sunday
afternoon, Aug. 17, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. Requiem mass
will be read at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Augustine Church here by the
Rev. Victor Kollasch. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are in charge of the Twit Funeral Home, Carroll, where
friends may call starting Monday at 7 p.m. The rosary will be recited at
8 and 8:45 p.m. Monday and at 3, 8 and 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. The 8 p.m.
rosary Tuesday will be by the St. Augustine Ladies Guild.
Mrs. Eischeid was the former Anna Marie Wittrock, daughter of
Glaus and Ann Hausman Wittrock. She was born Dec. 27, 1888, at Halbur
and received her education at Holy Angels School, Roselle. Her marriage
to Mr. Eischeid took place at Halbur on Feb. 21, 1911, with the late
Rev. John B. Baeumler officiating. They farmed northeast of Halbur until
moving into town in 1954. Mrs. Eischeid was a member of St. Augustine
Church and the Ladies Guild.
Surviving with her husband are ten children: Mrs. Frank (Lorine)
Sextro and Hilbert Eischeid, Manning; Mrs. Cato (Florence) Gephart, Des
Moines; Leonard Eischeid, Spencer; Mrs. Cecil (Louise) Boeckman, Early;
Mrs. Pete (Irma) Fast, Bingham Lake Minn.; Mrs. A. J. (Tillie) Busenbark,
Omaha; Theodore Eischeid Jr. and Louis Eischeid, Halbur; and Mrs. Elmer
(Marie) Schreck, Templeton.
Survivors also include 54 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren;
five brothers, Joe and John Wittrock of Milford; Bill Wittrock, Fonda;
August Wittrock, Halbur; and George Wittrock, Manning; and two sisters
Mrs. Kate Janning of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Mrs. Henry (Tina)
Potthoff of Halbur.
Mrs. Eischeid was preceded in death by a son, Alvin a
granddaughter, Ann Eischeid three brothers, Henry, Frank and Charles
Wittrock; and three sisters, Mary Wittrock, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Langel
and Mrs. Joe (Frances) Bluml.
