William N. Elson
William N. Elson, 85, of Corning, died Saturday evening, March
4, at the State University of Iowa hospital at Iowa City. Funeral
services were held Tuesday, March 7 at 2 p. m. from the Roland Funeral
Home in Corning. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Wm. N. Elson
Wm. N. Elson, the son of John and Rachael Elson, was born Dec.
1, 1875 at Corning, Ia., and passed away Saturday, March 4, 1961 at the
University of Iowa hospital at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 3 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Ora Tucker on April 7, 1907.
Wm. was a life-long resident of Corning and worked for the Chicago
Burlington and Quincy railroad. He was kind, a good provider, had many
friends, loved his flowers and garden.
He is survived by his wife, Ora, a step-son , John D. Sullivan
and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers
and two infant sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7, 1961 at 2 p.m. from
the Roland Funeral Home in Corning with Rev. Brown Garlock officiating.
Music was by John Riegel and Mrs. Joe Cook. Pallbearers were John
Hackett, Perry James, Gail Ogburn, Ed Wheatley, Sam McConkay and August
Bauer. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
