Earl Joseph Feilmeier
Earl Joseph Feilmeier, 75, of Eldora died Tuesday, Dec. 28,
2004, of natural causes.
Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at St.
Mary Catholic Church in Eldora with the Rev. James Dubbert presiding.
The family will have a private burial service in the parish
cemetery at a later date.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. and a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.

A son of Wendelan and Clara (Willenborg) Feilmeier, he was born
Nov. 8, 1929, at Templeton, attended barber school in Sioux City and
graduated with a master barber license.
He and Jannis M. Hoffman were married Jan. 21, 1957, at St. Mary
Catholic Church in Willey.
Mr. Feilmeier was a cottage parent at Eldora Training School for many
years. He also worked at the Eldora Barber Shop and the Eldora Sale Barn.
After retirement, he was a hobby farmer and enjoyed raising pigs
and gardening. He was member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Jannis, of Eldora; eight children:
Kathy Eckland and her husband, Wes, of Elk River, Minn., Deb Ridout of
St. Peter, Minn., Earl Feilmeier and his wife, Holly, of Eldora, John
Feilmeier of Eldora, Clay Feilmeier and his wife, Trish, of El Paso,
Texas; Janet Amuso and her husband, Robert, of Ozark, Ala., Jena Droubie
and her husband, Al, of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Karla Trey and her
husband, Keith, of Eldora; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
seven brothers and sisters: Marie Lammers and her husband, Ed, of St.
Louis, Mo., Laura Muhlbauer of Carroll, Rita Dentlinger and her husband,
Jim, of Glidden, Alfred Feilmeier and his wife, Irene, of Westside,
Leonard Feilmeier and his wife, Marsha, of Glidden, Bernard Feilmeier of
Carroll and Junior Feilmeier and his wife, Margie, of Carroll.
Mr. Feilmeier was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter,
Joleen Feilmeier; a brother, Rudy Feilmeier; and a brother, Edwin, and
sister, Anna, in infancy.
