Leo E. Fetters, 69, Aledo, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at
St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill.
Memorial services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Fippinger Funeral Home,
Aledo. Inurnment is in Aledo Cemetery with military rites accorded by
Mercer County VFW Post 1571. There is no visitation. Memorials go to
First Baptist Church, Aledo.
He was born Oct. 2, 1931, in rural Aledo, the son of Arnold and
Ella Leasure Fetters. He attended the local Aledo schools and for 32
years lived and worked at Lindquist Farms, Aledo.
He is survived by two sisters, Mabel Matson, Galva, and Sara
Mumey, Bettendorf; brother, Arnold Fetters Jr., Woodhull; and nieces and
nephews. His parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
