William Flynn dies at home
William F. Flynn, 82, a lifetime resident of Washington, died
suddenly at his home at 520 W. Jefferson Thursday.
Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church
in Washington, the Rev. Edward F. Collins officiating. Burial will be in
Elm Grove Cemetery. The Sherman-Eden Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home Sunday
evening at 7:30.
Mr. Flynn was born Sept. 10, 1887, in Washington, the son of John
and Abigail Swift Flynn. He married Ursula Saur. She died June 12, 1917.
He married Mary Gardner Dec. 25, 1920, in Wellman. She survives.
Raised and educated in the Washington area, Mr. Flynn was a
retired farmer.
Also surviving are one son, Victor of West Chester; three
daughters, Mrs. Robert (Capitola) Frink of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Richard
(Abigail) Seeger of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. Roy (Arlys) Esshlman of
Crown Point, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis of Knoxville
and Leonard of Washington. He was preceded in death by three brothers
and one sister.
