Miriam Ford
Miriam L. Ford, 79, of Rock Island, died Sunday, Sept. 2,
2007, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Hodgson
Funeral Home, Rock Island. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on
Friday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in National
Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer

Miriam was born on Oct. 16, 1927, in Reynolds, the daughter of
Ernest and Lillian Schubert Doonan. She married Perry Ford on Aug. 15,
1953, in Preemption. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2003.
Miriam worked as a clerk for Bituminous Insurance Company, Rock
Island, retiring in 1988, after 18 years.
She had been a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Rock Island.
She enjoyed watching television, and bowling, but what she
enjoyed the most was caring for her family through the years.
Survivors (and spouses) include her daughters, Nancy (Richard)
Kinney, Geneseo, Sally (Mark) Sieverts, Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren,
Melissa (Greg) Greenwood, Lyndi (Justin) Miller, Tiffany Bowser, Brian
(Heather) Kinney, Joseph Kinney, Jason Kinney, Joshua Kinney and Jordan
Kinney; great-granddaughter, Madison Greenwood; sisters, Leota (Manford)
Flack, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Elizabeth (Ernest) Kummetz, Chicago,
Ill.; and brother, Keith (Virginia) Doonan, Reynolds. In addition to her
husband, her parents and a granddaughter, Lisa Green, preceded her in death.
