Robert "Dean" Franks, 73, Riviera Beach, Fla.,
formerly of Aledo, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at home.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fippinger, Aledo. Burial is in
Aledo Cemetery, with military rites by Mercer County VFW Post 1571.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday at Fippinger.
He married Janet Mizner on May 14, 1950. She died in 1964. He
married Connie Anderson Oct. 31, 1964.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Amy Barnes, Kimberly Grubbs
and Kelly Franks Murdock, all of Stuart, Fla.; sons, Gary Franks,
Riverside, Ill., Larry Franks, Aledo, and Todd Franks, Silverton, Ore.;
14 grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie McCaw, Viola, and Mary Dowd, Aledo;
and brothers, Reno Franks, Naples, Fla., and Carroll Franks, Aledo.
