Everett Axel Fredrickson
Everett Axel Fredrickson, 86, of Seaton, died at 2:10 p.m.
Thursday, September 18, 1997 at the Oak Lane Nursing Home in Stronghurst.
He was born December 7, 1910 in Joy, the son of Axel and Beda (Osterberg)
Fredrickson. He was raised and educated in Mercer County.
Everett married Bertha Ranney in Little York, on December 12,
1934 and she survives.
Everett farmed in the Belmont area his entire adult life until he
retired in 1973.
He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Aledo and
attended the former Belmont United Methodist Church when his health
permitted. He was a member of the Charity Masonic Lodge A.F. and A.M.
#838 for 64 years, the Sister of Charity Chapter #512 Order of Eastern
Star, Seaton. He was also a member of the Moline Consistory and the
Shrine in Peoria.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Fredrickson, Seaton; one
daughter LaJune Ricketts of Little York; two sons, Paul (Ruth)
Fredrickson of Little York and Donald (Judy) Fredrickson of Biggsville;
12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one sister, Anna Streets of
Keithsburg; one brother, Pete (Mae) Fredrickson of Monmouth and several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Dwight
Ricketts; one granddaughter, Diane Fredrickson Murdock; and one brother,
Nels Fredrickson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 1997 at
Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. William Morse of the
Biggsville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in
Belmont Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday afternoon at Hoover-Hall
Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where the family will be present from 4 to 7
p.m. A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
