Funeral services for Mrs. Nels Fredrickson, 65, rural New
Windsor, were held Friday in the Calvary Lutheran Church in New Windsor.
The Rev. Paul Holmer, pastor, officiated, and burial was in Greenmound
Cemetery in Keithsburg, with Reiser Funeral Chapel, Aledo, in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fredrickson died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, June 16, in
Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
The former Josephine Harrison was born Dec. 5, 1910, in
Keithsburg, a daughter of Clare and Lena Shear Harrison. She attended
schools in Keithsburg.
On Jan. 22, 1933, she was married to Mr. Fredrickson in Aledo.
They farmed in the Seaton community and in 1951, moved to their farm,
west of New Windsor. Mrs. Fredrickson was a member of the Calvary
Lutheran Church in New Windsor and the Order of Eastern Star in Keithsburg.
Survivors include the widower; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita
Sims, Peoria; Mrs. Janet Smith, Washington, Il., Mrs. Carol Teubel,
Eldridge, Ia.; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Leona Johnson,
Keithsburg.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and two brothers.
