Leo J. Fritch
Leo J. Fritch, 79, of Aledo, died Friday, September 6, 1996,
at Mercer County Hospital in Aledo.
Services were Monday, September 9, 1996, at 10 a.m. at the St. Anthony's
Catholic Church in Matherville. Father B.K. Tran officiating.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, rural Matherville.
Visitation was at Jinks Family Funeral Services in Reynolds on
Sunday, September 8, 1996 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be left to the Leo J. Fritch memorial fund.
He was born April 20, 1917, in Viola the son of Harvey and Grace
Horan Fritch.
He married Alice May Grundstrom November 5, 1941 in Aledo.
He farmed in Preemption Township all of his life.
He was a member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau and Mer-Roc F.S.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Fritch of Aledo; sons and
daughters-in-law, Harvey and Mary of Viola, Charles and Patricia of
Casselberry, FL, Joseph and Rita of Aledo, William and Cherry of
Davenport, IA, and Daniel and Melanie of Matherville; daughter, Sister
Irene Marie Fritch of Peoria; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Gary
Vogelgesang of Taylor Ridge; 8 grandchildren, and sister, Alice Hanrahan
of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Pallbearers were Matthew Fritch, Al Hampton, Tom Conway, Roger
Grundstrom, Tom Hanrahan and Larry Bloome.
