Mrs. Regina T. Gehling
Gilmore City - Mrs. Regina T. Gehling, 81, of Gilmore City,
formerly of Carroll, died at her home Tuesday morning, March 11.
Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John's Catholic
Church, Gilmore City, with burial there in the parish cemetery. The
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the
Schellhammer Funeral Home in Gilmore City.
Mrs. Gehling was born at Carroll Oct. 23, 1893, a daughter of
Albert and Regina Reiling. She was the widow of Henry Gehling, to whom
she was married Sept. 2, 1913, at Mt. Carmel.
Seven children survive, including Mrs. Leo Wendl of LeMars,
Lawrence of Gilmore City, Erwin of Emmetsburg, Clarence and Albert of
Grand Meadow, Minn., Paul of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Mrs. Melvin
Broich of Lake View.
Mrs. Gehling also is survived by 32 grandchildren and 36
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Schelle of Wall Lake,
Mrs. Caroline Underberg of Buffalo, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary Schweickert of
Carroll; and a brother, Ted Reiling of Carroll.
