Paul Eugene Haley

  Paul Eugene Haley, the son of Simon and Anna B. Ensign Haley, was born March 31, 1901 in Adams County, Iowa, and entered into rest at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Corning, Iowa, July 28, 1981, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 27 days.
  He grew up and received his education in Adams County. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
  On August 23, 1922 he was united in marriage with Sadie Peterson at Corning, Iowa. Two sons and a daughter were born to bless this union.
  Mr. Haley was engaged in farming until 1978 when he made his home with his daughter, Joan and family, at Sunrise Beach, Mo.
  He was devoted to his family and found joy in all of his grandchildren. He had a deep respect for the out-of-doors and the wonders of nature.
  Preceding him in death were his mother and father; his wife, Sadie, who died June 10, 1976; four brothers; and one sister.
  Survivors include two sons, Glen and wife Evelyn of Spencer, Lloyd and his wife Eleanor of Corning, Iowa; and his daughter, Joan Mack and her husband of Sunrise Beach, Mo,; eleven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Agnew of Troutdale, Ore., Leona (Mrs. Clarence) Thompson of Elliott, Ruby (Mrs. Lewis) Hunter of Mt. Ayr and Nellie (Mrs. Bliss) Snethen of Corning, Ia.; and three brothers, Bill and wife Helen of Nodaway, Chester and his wife Bessie of Red Oak and Clifford Haley of Carbon, Iowa; a sister-in-law Mayme and a brother in law Maurice Foote of Phoenix, Arizona; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
  Funeral services were held at the Larkin-Roland Funeral Home in Corning July 31 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lewis Hunter officiating. Interment was in the Quincy Cemetery.
  Music was provided by Kathy Schafer, Pallbearers were Dennis Haley, Terry Haley, Rex Haley, Terry Evans, Michael Mack and Marty Bissell. Honorary bearers were tom Trusty, Luther Hensley and Lars Sacquitne. Flower bearers were Wand Richards and Marjorie Russell.
