Mrs. Paul Haley
Sadie Bell Peterson Haley, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth
Peterson, was born January 4, 1904 in Montgomery County, Iowa, and
passed away after surgery at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb. June 10,
1976, at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 6 days.
She received her education in Montgomery County and graduated
from Villisca High School in 1922.
On August 23, 1922, she was united in marriage to Paul Haley at
Corning, Iowa, Two sons and a daughter were born to bless this union.
Her enjoyment was her family, the years she taught school, and
her church work. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, step-father,
five sisters and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; two sons, Glen and his wife
Evelyn of Spencer, Iowa; and Lloyd and his wife Mona of Imogene, Iowa;
and one daughter, Joan Mack and her husband Raphael of Sunrise Beach,
Missouri. Also surviving are two sisters, Mayme Foote of Phoenix,
Arizona and Tilda Harris of Denver Colorado; 11 grandchildren and
thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at the Larkin-Roland Funeral Home in
Corning, June 13 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lewis Hunter officiating.
Interment was in Quincy Cemetery.
Music was provided by Dorothy Cook. Pallbearers were Dennis
Haley, Terry Haley, Rex Haley, Michael Mack, Tom Trusty and Terry Evans.
Honorary bearers were Luther Hensley and Marty Bissell. Flowerbearers
were Wanda Richards and Marjorie Russell.
