Greene man dies in apparent grain bin accident BY MAGGIE BORMAN Charles Hamilton, 64, of Roodhouse, died in an apparent grain bin accident on his land west of Ill. Route 106. Mr. Hamilton's body was found by emergency personnel Thursday evening in his grain bin, where he had been moving corn with an auger.

  Charles Raymond Hamilton, 64, of Patterson died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 near his home. He was born March 28, 1941 in Philadelphia, Illinois. He was the son of James H. and Lillian E. Shafer Hamilton. He married Carolyn S. Evans Oct. 11, 1959 in Roodhouse. She survives in Patterson. Also surviving are two sons: Daniel R. Hamilton of Roodhouse, Bradley M. (wife, Teresa) Hamilton of Pawnee; a daughter, Pamela J. Dorsey of St. Peters, MO; eleven grandchildren, Nathan, Elizabeth, Joseph, and Joshua Hamilton, Kate, Erin, Matt, and Amy Dorsey, Hunter, Hayden, and Hendrick Hamilton; one brother, Reginald (wife, Barbara) Hamilton of Jacksonville, and one sister, Carolyn (husband, Jim) Dawdy of Corydon, Iowa. His parents preceded him in death.
  Mr. Hamilton was a born again believer and member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Jacksonville, a farmer in the Patterson area, and a member of the Greene County Farm Bureau. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Visitation will be Sunday after 4:00 p.m. with the family meeting friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Winchester. Interment will be in the Winchester City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Lincoln Avenue Building Fund or the Parkinson Foundation.
