Otto J. Hartl
Dedham - Mass of the Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m.
Monday at St, Joseph's Church for Otto J. Hartl, 74, of Dedham. Rev.
Henry Meyer officiated at the services. Burial was in St. Joseph's
Cemetery. Mr. Hartl was dead on arrival Friday at St. Anthony Regional Hospital.
Pallbearers were Art Willenborg. Dale Willenborg. Louie Klocke,
Henry Heman, Marvin Wiskus and Wilfred Meiners. Sharp Funeral Home of
Carroll was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hartl was born November 18, 1903 in Golleszell, Germany. He
came to the United States in 1924 and settled in Audubon County. He was
employed as a farmhand until he moved three miles south of Dedham and
farmed. His marriage to Anna Thalhammer took place May 20, 1936 at St.
Joseph's Church. They also lived in the Templeton and Gray vicinities.
In 1962 he retired and they moved to Dedham. He was a member of St,
Joseph's church.
Surviving him are four sons, Joseph of Willey, Otto L. of
Chicago, Michael of Coon Rapids and Robert of Dedham; four daughters,
Mrs. Dwaine (Mary Ann) Miskimmins of Dedham, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Yager
of Coon Rapids, Mrs. Roger (Rose) Becker of Willey, and Mrs. Randy (Ann)
Olesen of Bayard; 19 grandchildren and two brothers, Max of Germany and
Louie of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1973, four brothers and
four sisters.
