Edward S. Hatton

  Edward S. Hatton died at St. Bernard hospital at Council Bluffs Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock where he had been for the past eight years. His death was very sudden and unexpected. The deceased was a son of William and Mary Hatton and was born in this county November 13, 1856. In 1886 his mind became deranged and he was taken to the hospital at Mt. Pleasant and later to the Clarinda hospital and about eight years ago he was removed to St. Bernard hospital where his death occurred. He had living four brothers, T. H., W. R., R. F. and J. D. Hatton and one sister, Mrs. J. N. B. Miller. The remains were brought to Corning Thursday evening and taken to the residence of T. H. Hatton south of town and the funeral will take place today at 10:00 o'clock from St. Patrick's Catholic church, the services being conducted by Father B. J. Sheridan. Interment in the Catholic cemetery.
