Edward A. Heim
Auburn - Edward A. Heim, 80, of Auburn was found dead about
noon Friday. According to the statement of Dr. C. E. Lierman, Sac County
medical examiner, Mr. Heim's death occurred from natural causes
Wednesday evening, April 26.
Requiem mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Gerald R. Wingert at
10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church, Auburn; interment will be in the
parish cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Twit
Funeral Home in Carroll, where the rosary will be recited at 3, 7:30 and
8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Heim, son of Michael and Emma Yender Heim, was born in
Carroll County May 23, 1891, and spent his life in the Auburn vicinity.
He received his education in the Auburn schools and was a member of St.
Mary's Church here. He was married Jan. 13, 1913, to Elizabeth Skalla at
St. Bernard's Church, Breda, by the Rev. Fr. Leursman. Mr. Heim was a
cattle buyer and trucker for many years.
Surviving are nine children: Leo, Harold and Mrs. Robert (Louise)
Theulen of Auburn; Mrs. Evelyn Wiederhold of Carroll; Mrs. Anthony (Berneice)
Schulte of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Raymond of Milpitas, Calif.; Marvin of
Breda; Cletus of Jackson, Minn.; and Paul of Early; 49 grandchildren and
55 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, C. J. Heim of Auburn; and three
sisters, Mary Heim of Auburn, Mrs. Loretta Ricke of Estherville and Mrs.
Lillian Robberstad of Camarillo, Calif.
Mr. Heim was preceded in death by his wife, April 8, 1968.
