Mrs. Edward A. Heim
Auburn - Funeral services for Mrs. Edward A. Heim, 74, of
Auburn will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Church here,
with the Rev. Edward F. Fandel officiating. Interment will be in St.
Mary's Cemetery, Auburn.
Mrs. Heim died at 9:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, at St. Anthony
Hospital in Carroll following o three-month Illness.
Friends may call at the Twit Funeral Home in Carroll starting at
7 p.m. Tuesday. There will be rosaries Tuesday night at 8 and 8:45, with
Fr. Fandel leading the latter. There will be rosaries Wednesday at 3, 8
and 8:45 p.m., the last being by St. Mary's Altar Society.
Mrs. Heim was the former Elizabeth Mary Skalla, daughter of
Joseph and Magdalen Gute Skalla. She was born in Carroll County on May
2, 1893, and lived in the Auburn vicinity all of her life. Her marriage
to Mr. Heim took place Jan. 29, 1913, in St. Bernard's Church at Breda
with the Rev. Fr. Leursman officiating. She was a member of St. Mary's
Church of Auburn and of the parish Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Leo
and Harold Heim and Mrs. Robert (Louise) Theulen, Auburn; Mrs. Evelyn
Wiederhold, Carroll; Mrs. A. H. (Bernice) Schulte and Cletus Heim, Sioux
Falls, S.D.; Raymond Heim, Milpitas, Calif.; Marvin Heim, Breda; and
Paul Heim, Sherburn, Minn.; also 49 grandchildren, 35
great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. G. H. Busche, Carroll; Mrs. Emil
Wurr, Coon Rapids; Mrs. Wolfe Wanninger, Manning; and Mrs. George
Anthofer, Coon Rapids; and two brothers, Joseph Skalla, Colorado
Springs, Colo., and Frank Skalla of Carroll.
Preceding her in death were a brother, John Skalla of Colorado
Springs; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
