Arnold John Henscheid

  Muenster - Mass of Christian burial for Arnold John Henscheid, 86, of Muenster is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster. Rev. Ken Robinson will celebrate the mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Services are directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
  Mr. Henscheid died at 12:16 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
  Born Oct. 18, 1922 in Muenster, Arnold attended Sacred Heart School in Muenster. He married Pat Neu at Saint Peters Church in Lindsay on Feb. 22, 1949. They lived in Muenster most of their married life, except for 13 years in Amarillo and his service time in the Army Air Corps from 1942 through 1946. His primary occupation was grocery store manager, both in Muenster and Gainesville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and past member of the V.F.W. He was inducted into the military service at Camp Howze on Oct. 17, 1942, served in Eastern Mandates, Western Pacific, Ryulyus Islands and was discharged on Jan. 13, 1946. He was the recipient of the American Theater Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal the Meritorious Unit Badge, and the WWII Victory Medal.
  Arnold was a strong family man. He really loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, reading and Texas Rangers baseball.
  Survivors include his wife, Pat Henscheid of Muenster; sons and spouses: Thomas and Mary Henscheid of Arlington and Glenn and Donna Henscheid of Tomball; sister, Eleonore Klement of Muenster; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Wiesman Henscheid and brothers Norbert, Werner and Jerome Henscheid.
  Pallbearers are: Matthew Henscheid, Daniel Henscheid, Ricky Wimmer, Tim Endres, Mark Klement and Duwayne Schilling.
