Obituary

  Mrs. Elizabeth Hicks, 82, a resident of Washington most of her life, died here Sunday, November 21 after a serious illness of six weeks. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at nine o'clock in the St. James church with Father H. J. Corcoran in charge. A rosary service will be conducted at the Jones funeral home tonight at eight o'clock.
  Mrs. Hicks was born Nov. 17, 1866 in Clifton, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Bridget (Swift) Quinn. She was married in Washington Nov. 15, 1911 to Otis Hicks who preceded her in death. She was a member of St. James Catholic church.
  She was the last of her family and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
  Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.
