David E. Hogan
David Edward Hogan, son of Michael and Mary Hogan, born, July
8, 1875, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning November 26, 1946,
following a heart attack. He had been in failing health the past two
years. He was married in Farley, Iowa, to Margaret E. Tracey. To this
union three sons were born: Hugh, Earnest (died in infancy) and Vincent.
Besides his wife and sons, he leaves three grandchildren, James,
Janice and Phyllis. Three sisters, and four brothers: John of Corning;
Michael of Great Falls, Mont.; Dennis of Omaha; Thomas of Corning;
Sister Clotilda, Ottumwa, Catherine Sisson, Lewiston, Mont.; Margaret
Woodmansee, Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is preceded in death by the
following: Julia, Joseph and Louis.
He had a great love for his home and family and was active in
many Co-operative organizations.
Relatives from a distance attending services were: Father McGuire
of Clare, Ia.; Sister Clotilda, Sister Rosalia of Ottumwa; Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Collins of Mapleton; Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Flangan and family of Omaha; Paul Hogan of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Pete
Curry and Jack of Red Oak; Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Will Hogan, Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Hogan and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hogan of Greenfield; Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Lamb, Sheridan, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Wood, Margaret
Tracey, George and Harold Murphy and Joe Greenwood of Farley.
Funeral services were held from St. Patrick's Catholic church
Thursday morning at nine o'clock. High Mass and burial services were
conducted by Father McGuire and Father Powers.
