Dr. Joseph K. Hogan
Joseph Kenrick Hogan, son of Thomas and Catherine Hogan,
passed away in a hospital in Austin, Tex., January 8, 1953, from a
cardiac condition following a brief illness.
He was born in Mexico, Mo., January 29, 1887, moving with the
family to Adams county when a very young boy. He studied to be a
veterinarian, a profession he followed for a number of years, and was
also in the milling business with John Hinck for several years. He was a
veteran of World War I.
During recent months he has resided in Texas, where he had spent
numerous winters.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Paul J. Hogan of Redondo
Beach, Calif., and daughter-in-law Mrs. Paul Hogan, two grandchildren,
Marie Faye Hogan and Joseph Albert Hogan; two sisters. Sister M. Rosalia,
Davenport and Miss Theresa Hogan, Detroit, Mich., and a large number of
other relatives.
Private funeral services and burial were held in Fontanelle, Ia.,
Monday, Jan. 12.
