Julia Harriet Hogan
Julia Harriet Hogan, 90, of Villisca, died Jan. 30, 1987, at
the Good Samaritan Center in Villisca. The daughter of William C. and Elizabeth
Walsch Fecht, she was born Nov. 4, 1896, at Mexico, Mo.
She was married Feb. 23, 1927, to Hugh Hogan. She was an operator
for Bell Telephone Company for several years. She loved her church, her
family, her hobbies and especially her neighborhood get-togethers. She
was a small woman with a big heart.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Hugh who
died Oct. 2, 1974; and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services were held Feb. 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic
Church in Villisca with Father Ken Gross officiating. Burial was in
Calvary Cemetery, Corning, Iowa.
Jennifer Bowling provided organ music. Josephine Ankeny was in
charge of the register. Ushers were James Stoysich and Joe Northup.
Ludwina Gage and Myrtle Starlin were flower bearers.
Pallbearers were Gary Refer, Robert Brown, Roger Gray, Henry
Kernen, Jr., Gerald Skahill and Jim Roeder. Honorary bearers were Ivan
Heaton, Edward Hoyt, Earl James, Paul Fisher, Raymond Crouse and Clyde Lewis.
