Margret E. Hogan

The death of Miss Margret E. Hogan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hogan, occurred Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at their home south of Corning of bright's disease with which she had been a sufferer for a number of years, aged 22 years, 10 months and 22 days. She was born in Taylor county, Oct. 1, 1879, and with the exception of the time when the family resided near Mexico, Mo., had grown to womanhood in this vicinity where she had gained the love and esteem of all who know her. For a number of years Miss Hogan had been teaching school and was engaged in the work near Sioux City when her fatal illness came on and returned home about a week before her death that she might have home care and home comforts. The funeral took place from St. Patrick's Catholic church, at 10 o'clock, Thursday, conducted by Father B. J. Sheridan. Interment in Catholic cemetery. A very large assembly of sorrowing friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
