Obituary

  Following a brief service at 9:00 a. m. on Monday at the home of Edward and Mary Horan in Rock Island, funeral services for their nephew, Ambrose P. Horan, were held at 9:30 in St. Joseph's church, Rock Island, by Rev. P. H. Durkin. Interment was made in Calvary cemetery, Rock Island, and Bert Horan, Charles J. Conway, Leo McManus, Glen Crawford, Charles McManus and Dale Lucas acted as pallbearers.
  Mr. Horan, age 32, met his death on Thursday, last week, on the Horan ranch near Straw, Mont. A team of horses ran away and Ambrose was fatally injured in the accident.
  Born in January, 1900, in Preemption, he was a graduate of the Corpus Christi school in Galesburg. For the last eight years he had lived in Montana.
  Among those who survive are the parents, Mrs. And Mrs. Patrick Horan of Matherville; three brothers, J. R. Horan of Matherville and Leo and Martin of Straw, Mont.; and his uncle and aunt in Rock Island.
