Ruby A. Houck

Died in Montana.

Relatives and friends in Corning were grieved when word was received here of the death of little Ruby Houck in Denton, Mont. Ruby is the daughter of Mrs. Rosa Houck, of Denton. She was -born on the home farm of her grandmother, Mrs. Mary M. Houck, north of .Carbon, Iowa, eight years ago last January, and passed from this life Sunday, June 26, 1921. Her father Floyd F. Houck died about five years ago. Corning was the home of Mrs. Houck and her children until about two years ago, when she removed to Denton. Beside her mother, Ruby leaves one sister, little Dorris. The girls spent some time last summer with their grandmother in Corning.
The little body is being brought to Corning and is expected to arrive Thursday. On account of diphtheria being the cause of death, and the law governing such cases, the little form will be taken to the porch at the home of Mrs. Mary M. Houck, the grandmother, where Rev. J. Kirkendall, pastor of the M. E. church, will conduct a short private service and the little one will be laid to rest in Quincy cemetery. The sympathy of the community goes out to the relatives in their bereavement.
