| John Hunter
Funeral services for John W. Hunter, 65, of New Windsor,
formerly of East Moline, were held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Moline. Burial was in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
East Moline American Legion Post 227 conducted military rites.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Unit at Moline Lutheran
Hospital, or the family.
Mr. Hunter died Sunday Feb. 15, 1987 at Moline Lutheran Hospital.
He retired in 1986 from the shipping department at J I Case Co.,
Bettendorf, where he had been employed 16 years.
Mr. Hunter married Donna J. Knary in 1974 in Coal Valley.
He was an Army veteran of World II in the New Guinea and Luzon
campaigns. He received two bronze stars.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Woodhull, and
American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sue Grazamich, Moline, and
Vicki Keck, New Windsor; a son Curtis Knary, Rock Island; seven
grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Hagberg, Moline.
