Mrs. Joe Irlmeier
Mrs. Joe Irlmeier, 72, died about 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17,
at her home in Carroll following a four-month illness. She had been
seriously ill for the past two weeks.
Requiem mass will be read at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Lawrence
Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry B. Karhoff officiating. Interment
will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Templeton.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sharp Funeral Home
in Carroll. The rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 and 8:30 p.m.;
Wednesday at 3, 8 and 8:30 p.m., the 8:30 recitation being by Court
Sacred Heart No. 454, Catholic Daughters of America, of which Mrs.
Irlmeier was a member. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church.
Mrs. Irlmeier was the former Anna Feilmeier, daughter of Frank
and Crescentia Feilmeier. She was born March 26, 1891, at Roselle, and
spent her young womanhood in Carroll
County. On Feb. 7, 1910, she married Joseph Irlmeier at St. Joseph
Church, Dedham, with the Rev. H. J. Dries officiating.
After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Irlmeier farmed south of
Templeton until retiring and moving to Carroll in 1956. Their present
home is at 541 West 20th Street.
Mrs. Irlmeier is survived by her husband; her children, Joe F.
Irlmeier, Dedham; Mrs. Ambrose (Anna) Irlbeck, Dedham; Alex Irlmeier,
Audubon; Leo Irlmeier, Manning; Leonard Irlmeier, Greenfield; Wilfred
Irlmeier, Templeton; Mrs. Al (Irene) Kraus, Maple River; Cletus Irlmeier,
Carroll; Mrs. Bob (Dorothy) Crowdes, Templeton; Mrs. Ed (Jean) Brosnahan,
Denison; Donald Irlmeier, Gray; and Merlin Irlmeier, Templeton.
Also surviving are 56 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one
sister, Mrs. Grace Irlbeck, Morgan, Minn.; and two brothers, Louis
Feilmeier, Early, and Wenz Feilmeier, Roselle.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
